doing my user id kinda made me nostalgic for my old comic i guess, so i've started refurbishing some of my old line art (and maybe later i will do some new ones)! not one of my favorite drawings, but i like the concept. you think you have stress in your life? try being best friends with a ragdoll hell-bent on anarchy.
Mr. McBunbun was originally just a well-worn, albeit lifeless teddy-bunny. however, his lonely owner pioneered a technology that would give the little guy a mind of his own. Mr. McBunbun spent many happy years as an "only child", until the owner decided to mass produce dolls (the Say-Goodnight Gracies) to sell to the public, using the same technology. mass production ended when the little doll shown here got caught in the production machinery, causing a fire. when she was salvaged, she was more than a little flame-damaged, and not quite so cute and cuddly as the other dolls, so rather than selling her, she was kept. Mr. McBunbun's carefree days of romping through the fields alone ended upun Say-Goodnight's arrival. today he is chasing after her, trying to suggest a better alternative to playing with fire -- for example: NOT playing with fire. alright, so he's not particularly creative at the best of times, but he is loyal and down-to-earth.
"you think you have stress in your life? try being best friends with a ragdoll hell-bent on anarchy" LMAO....what a brilliant line.....excellent image! i don't know what it looked like before you reworked it, but it sure looks great now!
I love the coloring on the background... the sky looks amazing. The whole concept is well done, and the characters are cute. Poor burned bunny ... at least he still has a friend

it looked like the line art. bit of crosshatch that i removed. unfortunately, it's just concept art from before i even started writing the comic... and before i had gotten a real grasp on Say-Goodnight's proportions.

yeh... i know. and the kid looks like Johnny the Homicical Maniac. purely coincidential... i started this comic right about the time Johnny was an obscure little underground comic first going into publication! heh. oh well. thanks lots for the comment.
